Employee's have rights? You can get fired for just about anything short of being a certain race, religion, handicapped, etc. They don't have to justify anything. ------

Nope. Sorry. You might have meant it as a joke, but the truth is, you were out of line proffessionally.Perhaps you should talk to your ex-boss and appoligize, throw in some nice stuff like'I realize I acted out of line'and'I understand my joke can not be justified'perhaps when he/she sees how sincere you are, he'll/she'll consider giving you another try. Just don't do anything like that again! It is funny though :P. ------

If they are a big company they likely have policies against employees releasing toxic or noxious substancesIf someone had an allergic reaction you would likely be looking at manslaughterMy guess is that you were lucky you did not get arrested ------

I am not sure, if you are trying to get unemployment benefits, that may or may not be considered misconduct connected with your work. If I were you, I would try to go to your boss when he has a few moments, or call and ask him to meet with you face to face. You can then tell him the truth, you did a foolish and immature thing for fun, (or whatever your reason) without stopping to think of how unprofessional it was. Explain you did it in a misguided attempt to make him laugh, not to insult or disrespect him, and you will acknowledge and show respect to him as your supervisor or superior in the future, should he consider giving you another chance. If he doesn't give you another chance, tell him you understand that, be polite, professional and thank him for his time. Then maybe at least your reference with this employer won't be shot. I would have thought it was funny, but maybe he found it had no place at work, and he's right. ------

Post Marcus Trescothick batted his side to safety

Marcus Trescothick batted his side to safety Trescothick, 61 not out overnight, brought up his Golf Course, while Craig Kieswetter added 58.Scotland's leading bowler Gordon Goudie was ruled out of the match after suffering a recurrence of a hamstring injury picked up in the previous game against the Golf lessons. The blunders cost the Gladiators dearly as Hampshire set them a target requiring a run rate of more than Best golf swing.
