What is the copyright/trademark laws for cakes?

If I add the copyright symbol along with the name of the company (i.e disney) onto the cake, could I draw a character (such as Cinderella, Dora, etc...) and sell it in a shop? Would that still be considered against the law? I was wondering because with adding the copyright symbol, aren't you giving credit to the company?Thanks ------

That would still be against against basic copyright law. However, you CAN purchase kits that include"Dora"designs, and by purchasing the kit, you may reproduce the image.Adding the copyright symbol makes absolutely no difference! It isn't the credit they want. It is the $$$$. ------
