Motorcycle Helmet law Vs. Vehicle Seat belt law?

IS it me or does the law in PA seam to be backwards...? Your not required to wear a helmet after two years of riding and passing a safty courseafter after the age of 21, but EVERYONE no matter age, years of experience or completing a safty course MUST wear a seat belt? Isn't more dangerous in an accident to be on a motorcycle than a car?what about the freedom of choice? If your an adult. I can understand if its a child to be mandatory.I am for freedom of choice in both cases of motorcycles&cars.I had to post what rabidog mentioned"Try wearing a helmet while driving a car, see how often you get pulled over for impaired vision and hearing"such a good point if its all about safty then why not be required to wear a helmet also in a car? ------
