What will happen if other parent doesnt show up for mediation?

On 26 Sep 2008 I went to mediation hoping the father of my child would be there. I waited for him to show up for an hour and the mediator told me to goahead and go home and that he would note in the file that i was there and other parent failed to show up. what will happen on the court date its on 10 Oct 2008? ------

it will be reported to the courts that he failed to show and whatever you are asking for will most likely be granted to you. ASk for the sky since he hasn't shown up to explain why you shouldn't get it. ------

more than likely you will be given custody. ------

Depends on whether the mediation was court ordered. If it was court ordered, then the father is in contempt. He could possibly serve thirty days and pay a fine for this. ------

It depends on whether he has a legitimate reason..If so, they will reschedule...if not, the court will not take kindly to his lack of responsibility ------

Pretty much what the 1st person said... he was a no show so that looks better for you. BUT he can always write the court (or call maybe) and explain why he didnt show and if its a good enough reason they could set another date for it? if he just lets it go, then obviously he's not trying very hard and doesnt much care.... ------
