Default Why does the defense want to adjourn mediation process in lawsuit?

We thought it was over and yet the defense lawyers now want to adjourn the mediation hearing that tries to award a settlement. They say they are not ready...our lawyer wants to adjourn and seems pleased that they want another 60 days. What do you think? ------

If you can afford it and your lawyer is happy about it, then go ahead and wait. Lawyers rarely get in a hurry, and paperwork can take almost forever. ------

I would ask your lawyer specifically:1. Why he feels it's a good idea to give the defense more time?2. How will this delay serve your interests?Normally delay serves the defendant.I am not a lawyer. Only licensed lawyers can give legal advise. ------
