Mom is 92 and living alone in a not so great area. She had a fall and a hip fracture 4 months ago&since that seems to be going downhill faster. She has been misplacing large amounts of cash and has a"just so-so"attitude like"oh well I'll get more next month". She doesn't make a meal for herself and cannot bathe in her home. I have noticed an odor on a few occasions. She also walks with a walker. Her day consists of word books and solitaire. She doesn't seem to watch t.v. and understand it very well. I took her home to Tn with me after the recuperation from fall expecting her to live with me but she was so depressed I had to bring her back for fear she would be sick. I don't think she can make a decision for the well being of herself. I want to find her a facility but I doubt she will go willingly. What steps do we take to get her into one. My husband of 35 years is her power of attorney who can make decisions when she can't. Is this all we need to place her? ------
