North Americans spend billions on funerals each year, but the funeral or funeral services do not have to be expensive. Trade Commission's Funeral Rule gives buyers a number of rights, including the inherent right to receive written price lists, clarifications of cemetery or legal requirements and the choice of employing a container other than a box for cremation.
