Default How much child support can I expect to get from my ex?

We have a one year old son. My soon to be ex is in the Coast Guard and he makes about $3700 a month including $1600 BAH (housing allowance). We live in California and we are getting ready to file for divorce, but he wants to keep it simple and try to figure out the terms of the divorce ourselves. I have no idea what is a fair amount for child support, so I was just wanting some opinions from people with experience. Thank you! ------

I think you should consult with a good lawyer regarding this matter. He/She will suggest you a fair amount for your child.
