Default Can the bankruptcy courts or trustee withhold my rebate tax stumulus check?

I am filing bankruptcy on June 1, 2008 and am expected to receive my rebate stimulus check in July. Can the bankruptcy courts take my check to pay my creditors? ------

they can't take your check but they can put a lien on your checking account. If you have direct deposit say bye to your stimulus. Cash it at a different bank or currency exchange... ------

Yes, they can. I am surprised your trustee has not told you to bring it directly to him as soon as you get it. ------

I have observed many of my friends who had filed bankruptcy and received their rebate stimulus within one month. I hope even you gonna receive your stimulus by July. According to my opinion bankruptcy court will not take your check to pay creditors instead they may arrange meeting of the creditors which you should attend without fail.

I think yes they can take your checks to pay to creditors.because once you file the bankruptcy bankruptcy courts has lots of rights to take a decisions on you.So its better to talk with any professional law firm to make sure about that.I know one such firm called Filing Bankruptcy Pros you can also take help from them online.
