I transferred my membership from one golds gym to another 2 years ago. I recently got a bill for $250 from a collection agency for the old gym.When I called they said that I had not properly canceled my membership and they have been billing me and they would continue to bill me. They had told me that I should have sent a registered letter to their billing department. I instead brought it to the gym and they accepted it and said they would mail it but it never reached its destination! They said I should have sent it registrard letter and I should still have the receipt (2 Years later!). They had it registard in their computers that I was transfering gyms.Do you think I will have to pay this debt? How do I fight it? Can I stop them from continuing to charge me? ------
